For the interior design of the office building of Hyperzon in Sofia - professionals in digital marketing and branding in markets on three continents - we had an interesting task: to bring life to a building composed of 70% polished concrete on the floor, walls and ceilings, 17% windows and 13% latex walls.

The catch is that concrete should not be harmed and should be preserved — few places to express the desired design life, and many things to comply with.

Acoustics as a major design case study

But vision and beauty were not the first problem, but how to build suitable acoustics for a normal working environment in this reverberating space – with acoustic materials, and at the same time achieve a feeling of coziness and the necessary playfulness in the modern building.

Acoustics are of paramount importance for the concentration of office workers and for audibility during calls with partners – vital when 15-20 people spend 8 hours a day in one room. We solved this main case study with the help of our partners from DECIBEL.bg. All the paintings and panels on the walls and ceilings are actually acoustic panels.

Good design appeals to all the senses

We believe that good interior design is one that enhances the overall environment, paying attention to all the senses: touch, warmth, softness, sound, adequate lighting, function — and of course, uncompromisingly pleasing to the eye.
