The owners of apartment JM 69 wanted dramatic chic, a sense of art and subtle sensuality in the residence. The design is built around the paintings and art installations available at the start.
Dual function and veiled details
Being a family home with children, many of the adult elements are veiled and do double duty. Opposite the bedroom is an aged mirror that gives room for fantasy without being direct, and below it a fireproof candle holder, so the flame is reflected in the mirror and creates double depth. The walls are protected with washable, dense wallpaper with a sound-absorbing function.
Kitchen and bathrooms with optimal functionality
In the bathroom, toilet and kitchen, the design unfolds with optimal functionality and use of every niche. The refrigerator is floor-to-ceiling, the chamber is a separate unit under the counter, and drinks have space in a wine cooler. The minimum bending requirement is met: a dishwasher with a lower shelf that can be lifted when loading, an oven with a microwave above the worktop and a niche for olive oil at the height of the worktop.
