Something new, something old

Residential interior

Respect for the spirit of an artistic residence in the center of Sofia — with color that explodes in burgundy and butter green.

When designing, we approached with great care and respect the spirit of an artistic residence in the center of Sofia - with many paintings, antique solid wood furniture and Italian clinker tiles, which we complied with, preserved and upgraded.

Color on the beige base from the 90s

We added color to the otherwise beige 90s solution — bursting with a burgundy kitchen and butter green interior doors. We also set aside separate areas for the paintings, candles and flowers, which were otherwise haphazardly scattered.

One bricked door, one new

We bricked up one door and opened up another, which allowed us to create a much larger and more functional U-shaped kitchen.

Frequently asked questions

Are you working with existing antique furniture and fixtures?+
Yes. For Something New, Something Old, we went with the owners' paintings, antique solid wood furniture, and Italian clinker tiles—keeping them and upgrading them with contemporary touches and color.
Can a beige interior from the 90s be refreshed without a major renovation?+
Yes. We add color in key areas (here, a burgundy kitchen and butter green doors) and set aside areas for art and accessories to liven up the existing space.
Do you move doors and walls for better function?+
When it's worth it — yes. Here we bricked up one door and opened another to create a larger and more functional U-shaped kitchen.

Let's create something equally bold for your space.
