In this project, we carried out a complete renovation and redistribution of the space of an old apartment on the first floor.

Architectural obstacles — hidden in the furniture

The frame in which the architecture placed us was with multiple soffits, columns, girders and different heights. We tackled them by integrating and hiding them in furniture that crawls along the walls and smoothly flows into one another.

Scandinavian, pastel, sustainable

Despite the large windows, the low floor has a noticeable impact on the light, so we were careful with the choice of colors – the whole apartment is colorful, but in pastel and calm tones. The desire of the residents was for a Scandinavian design that does not burden and is sustainable over time, with more courage and accents in the small rooms (bathroom, toilet, corridor). The synchronicity with the clients was strong — proof that behind the good result lies not only professionalism, but also harmony in the team.

Frequently asked questions

How to hide columns, beams and cracks in a home?+
By integrating them into furniture that crawls along the walls and flows into one another — that's how for CH 51 the architectural obstacles disappeared visually.
What colors are suitable for a low floor apartment?+
Light, pastel and calm tones, which do not overwhelm with less natural light — and we leave bold accents for small rooms.
Is the Scandinavian style suitable for a long-lasting interior?+
Yes. The Scandinavian design is clean, uncluttered and durable - just what the occupants of the CH 51 asked for.
